BIOGRAPHY<\/strong>
Gesa Hollerbach was born in 1977 and lives with her family in Cologne. She studied communication design with a focus on documentary film and illustration at the University of Applied Sciences in D\u00fcsseldorf and graduated with the documentary film “Etwas f\u00fcr lange Zeit”. The film was nominated for the First Steps Award in 2006. From 2007 to 2011 she studied postgraduate at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, her graduation film “Die M\u00fchen der Ebene” was released in 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has worked as an editing and production assistant on several feature-length documentaries for cinema and television and has been a freelance writer, director and editor since 2006. For the development of her feature documentary “Landretter” she received a Gerd Ruge scholarship, the film premiered at Dok Leipzig in 2019 in the German Competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her current documentary project “Superposition” is supported by NDR\/arte and the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW and is currently in preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BIOGRAFIE<\/strong>
Gesa Hollerbach wurde 1977 geboren und lebt mit ihrer Familie in K\u00f6ln. Sie studierte Kommunikationsdesign mit Schwerpunkt Dokumentarfilm und Illustration an der Fachhochschule D\u00fcsseldorf und schloss ihr Studium mit dem Dokumentarfilm “Etwas f\u00fcr lange Zeit” ab. Der Film war 2006 beim First Steps Award nominiert. Von 2007 bis 2011 studierte sie postgraduiert an der Kunsthochschule f\u00fcr Medien K\u00f6ln, ihr Abschlussfilm “Die M\u00fchen der Ebene” kam im Jahr 2012 ins Kino. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sie hat als Schnitt- und Produktionsassistentin bei mehreren abendf\u00fcllenden Dokumentarfilmen f\u00fcr Kino und Fernsehen gearbeitet und ist seit 2006 als freie Autorin, Regisseurin und Cutterin t\u00e4tig. F\u00fcr die Entwicklung ihres Kino-Dokumentarfilms “Landretter” bekam sie ein Gerd-Ruge-Stipendium, der Film feierte 2019 seine Premiere bei Dok Leipzig im Deutschen Wettbewerb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ihr aktuelles Dokumentarfilmprojekt “Superposition” wird von NDR\/arte und der Film- und Medienstiftung NRW unterst\u00fctzt und befindet sich momentan in Vorbereitung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
